Short summary of the Volvo S80
I'll be writing just abit today about the Volvo S80.
Let's start out with the different engines, you can choose between when buying a new S80.
Let's start out with the different engines, you can choose between when buying a new S80.
S80 3.2 (243 hk) & S80 3.2 AWD (243 hk)
S80 T4 (180 hk)
S80 T5 (240 hk)
S80 T6 AWD (304 hk)
D3 (163 hk)
D5 (205 hk) & D5 AWD (205 hk
DRIVe (115 hk)
So here's the 7 different engines you can choose, I'm sorry I don't explain it any further, but that would take me a couple of hours, and It's getting late here. I can probably do It tomorrow If you wanna know anything about one of the specific engines.
Weight of the S80 is from 2000 kiloes to 2200 kiloes.
Volvo got alot of safety in this car, the most remarkable is the new Driver Alert Control (DAC)
This system will warn the driver if he/she is getting tired, at speed above 65 km/h.
The thing about this Is, that It'll check you're driving routine, and If It doesn't match.. BIPP BIPP.. Take a break.
One of the most remarkable safety systems In this car is the... Intelligent Driver Information System.
I don't feel like writing a boring page about It, but If you wanna read about some amazing safety system, you should defiantly take a look at that.
The picture's Im posting now, Is from Volvo's own homepage.
Take a look at their homepage, very informative.

Here we go again,
I'm sorry I haven't made any blogs In the couple of days, but I've had myself a practician running around me, and made my life miserable, and exhausted. Ah okay, he's a good boy. :)
We'll, I'll beginning with a copy - paste from Wikipedia regarding the Volvo S80, wich I'll write about tomorrow, Stay tuned!
"The Volvo S80 is a Mid-size executive saloon/sedan from Swedish automaker Volvo Cars, and was introduced in 1998 to take the place of the rear-wheel drive Volvo 960/S90 saloons in the model range. The Volvo S80 was built at the Torslanda Plant (Torslandaverken) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Unlike most Volvo models, it did not have a estate / station wagon version for its first generation. Now, the third generation V70 wagon is marketed as the estate version for the second generation S80 saloon. This is a part of a major product overhaul at Volvo, including a most luxurious large estate and saloon.

The first generation was notable for being one of the first Volvos to depart from the company's traditionally very boxy, conservative styling. The S80's styling, with its pronounced beltlines and tail lights that narrow and go from curves to points as they go up, was later adopted throughout the Volvo line, especially on the S60 and S40 saloons.
The first generation Volvo S80 had one of the highest crash test ratings in the world for five years. The second generation Volvo S80, in June 2007, scored the highest "good" rating in the IIHS crash test performance for frontal, side, and rear impacts, continuing in the success of the first S80 sedan, earning it the IIHS Top Safety Pick. The second generation S80 is better engineered than the previous model, in part due to a more rigid chassis."
I'm sorry If you don't like the copy paste, but as I said, I will be writing a blog tomorrow with my own words and feelings towards this beautiful and well-made car.

Take a quick look at this video guys, It's about the Volvo S60R.
The only thing that bothers me Is that Top Gear rate cars by judging their speed, and NOTHING else.
Volvo Isn't about driving fast, accelerate like a 18 year old, or messing up the engine by driving around in 3rd gear with 110+ km/h.
Volvo Is about getting around safely, and comfortable. Shame on you Top Gear, for making the Volvo brand seem like a car for only old men.
Take a look on this video on the Volvo S80 V8, this warm's my Volvo hearth. -v-
Thanks,

Thanks,
Thanks for the input
I've taken your input, and decided to do something about it!
And how could I miss the "Picture goes with a thread" thing, I forgot how boring It would be to read all of this without pictures, my mistake! :)
So I've found some beautiful pictures of the Volvo V70, wich I wrote about before.
This is some of the front, and side (obviously) of the Volvo V70 2007, And it's almost the same as mine, mine is Metallic thou, But I will post a picture of it later on.
"I'm bringing sexy back, yea" should be the theme song for this wonderful car.
The standard interior on the Volvo V70, what a simple interior, yet extremely advanced technology is put in there.

Anyone said they needed more space?
My next thread will be about a Volvo S40 or maybe the S60, both are great coúpes with great potential.
Please, let me have your opinion on what to do better in the comments below, thank you.

Time for my first post.
Now when I've explained who Iam, It's time to get this blog rolling, guys.
My first post will be about a very special car, In my opinion.
I'm talking about the Volvo V70 2,4 140 HK's 2003.
That's my baby, right there.
I can, with honestly, say that this Is the best car I've ever driven in.
Basicly, It's a station car(Stc), run's on regular gas 95 octane. 5 doors.
Weight is currently 1550 kiloes, from new off. < I've gotten it down to around 1400 kiloes, by replacing some of the parts, for lighter and more effective acceleration.
It's a 5 cylinder, rawr!
The dimensions Is as following:
And here's a little nifty thing I love about the Volvo V70 series, their safety. So here's a Copy-Paste for you guy's to read about the lovely safety in this beautiful beast.

Euro NCAP evaluated the V70 in 2007 awarding it 5 of 5 stars for adult occupant protection. The V70 scored 15 of 16 points in the front test and 16 of 16 in the side test. The car was penalised 1 point in the pole test for improper deployment of the curtain airbag in both the original test and the re-test. The car received one of two points available in the pole test. The V70 was granted an additional two points for seat belt reminders of three available in this catergory. The V70 received a total of 34 of 37 points and therefore five stars (33-37) in EuroNCAP's evaluation.
Now... That's truly incredible.
